What you’ll be doing

Member Experience & Operations
-
Be the first point of contact for members and guests, ensuring everyone feels welcome and supported from the moment they arrive. From answering queries, helping with the booking app, or making teas and coffees, you’ll make visiting the space a highlight of the week.
-
Build strong relationships with members by understanding their needs, shaping their experience, and keeping the space relaxed, enjoyable, and productive.
-
Manage daily operations including the space’s inbox, calendar, bookings, and correspondence to keep everything running smoothly. And importantly, ensure there is some good music on in the background.
-
Draft invoices, support day-to-day financial admin, and ensure clear and timely communications with members.
-
Keeping an eye on and ensuring any simple glitches with the tech (screens, monitors, sound, Wi-Fi and booking app) are ironed out. Training is provided and we’re not expecting you to be an A/V whizz, just a first point of contact.
-
Work closely with the wider team on projects and initiatives that help the business grow.
Building & Growing the Community
-
Plan and coordinate workshops, classes, and speakers for our monthly Community Days, whilst encouraging member involvement and creating meaningful connections.
-
Oversee and organise all events, private meetings, conferences, and local classes in the space, collaborating with Hartley Farm and off-site vendors where relevant.
-
Help foster our online community by creating and scheduling engaging social media content (across our website, Instagram, Facebook, Google and Linkedin), and working with the team on campaigns to promote events and grow memberships.
Marketing & Content Creation
-
Write creative, on-brand copy for blogs, newsletters, website updates, and articles that showcase our community and events.
-
Maintain and develop our company voice across all platforms, ensuring our tone is friendly, approachable, and reflective of our brand personality.
-
Support marketing initiatives to boost visibility and attract new members, particularly on quieter days.
What We’re Looking For
-
A problem solver with the ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
-
A natural people-person who can build strong relationships and influence positive behaviours.
-
Experience in hospitality, service, events, or a similar role.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
-
Interest in sustainability and a desire to help foster thriving communities.
-
Previous experience or willingness to learn standard barista skills (yes, serving coffee and cake is part of the fun!)
-
Due to our rural location, we do ask that all members of our team have their own mode of reliable transport.
What We Offer
-
A varied and creative role where no two days are the same.
-
The chance to connect with inspiring people from diverse industries.
-
Opportunities for professional development and growth.
-
A supportive, collaborative team environment.
-
A role where you can genuinely shape the future of our community and our business.
